Course Summary
A Driver Risk Assessment may be required for staff to start or to continue to drive for business use, but fall outside of the parameters set by the company driver policy. Reasons may include age, driving convictions, motoring claims, general driving ability or possible a change in vehicle type.
Course Duration
2.5hrs Driving Course
The programme has no driver training intervention; the risk assessment is that of a person’s ability to drive on the road safely.
Course Structure
- Introduction and theory
- Discussion relating to the circumstances of the driver’s attendance
- Driving licence check and eyesight test
- Health and Safety Duty of Care
- Vehicle Safety Checks (tyres, lights, indicators, fluid levels, cleanliness of glass etc)
- On-road driver assessment (consultant to observe . No intervention required)
- Review and discuss
